The VANS VAULT X NEIGHBORHOOD PACK gives a big thumbs up to Japan’s rich BMX heritage with a playful, retro-inspired graphic print.
At just five months into the year and NEIGHBORHOOD are still tipping the productivity scales massively, having already managed to collaborate with Converse, Bape, and adidas in such a short space of time. Not stopping for breath, the Japanese fashion label adds to their footwear arsenal this weekend by joining forces with Vans Vault to create a retro-inspired and playful pack of four classic shoes.
Featuring two individual designs across the Vans Authentics and Sk8-Hi models, the red and black dominated pack definitely has an air of the ‘80s about it. The low cut Authentic tackles Vans’ trademark checkerboard print and sees it splashed over the front of the casual shoe’s toe box with creamy white canvas taking charge on the remainder of the uppers and a strikethrough checkered pattern to the midsole. The Sk8-Hi features an all-over “thumbs up” Vans BMX graphic, which nods to the sport’s prevalence in Japan. The old skool print takes centre stage across two colourways, with a choice of either red or black suede uppers paired with contrasting bright white laces.
Staying true to their roots, NEIGHBORHOOD has also created a wide range of apparel to accompany the drop, which features the prints across a long-sleeved tee, button-up shirt, shorts and corresponding cap.
A personality-packed capsule, this drop is an unmissable addition to any Vans fiends’ collection, so make hay whilst the sun shines and get your hands on some of this retro-inspired garb pronto.
The VANS VAULT X NEIGHBORHOOD PACK drops on SATURDAY 6 MAY in Asia only. So if you’re on the right side of the world, bravo, but if not, shop the current VANS VAULT footwear range at END. by following the banner below.
