Layered Flavours With the Nike x sacai Vaporwaffle
The NIKE X SACAI VAPORWAFFLE was spotted at Paris Fashion Week, as part of sacai’s FW20 runway show.
Sacai’s Chitose Abe designed with Comme des Garçons for almost a decade before launching her own sacai label in 1999. Taking inspiration from her surroundings and everyday life, Sacai’s use of innovative fabric combinations and pattern techniques gives classic pieces a futuristic new look. This latest collaborative effort is entitled the Vaporwaffle, taking recognisable elements from existing favourites and creating innovative mash-ups fit for the sacai branding. These first four colour schemes feature Tour Yellow, Villain Red and Sport Fuchsia, with a final edition mixing all colours for a special tricolour make-up.
