Nike VN Run | NAKED Copenhagen
In celebration of the sleek Nike V2K Run, NAKED Copenhagen hosted a nostalgic yet contemporary event transporting us right back to the golden age of Y2K.
It goes without saying that the Nike V2K Run is heavily reminiscent of the 2000s. If you’re not familiar with the era, think low-waisted jeans, baguette bags and trucker hats. The silhouette captures the futuristic and techno influence of the which Gen Z can’t get enough of. Located at NAKED Copenhagen’s new flagship location, the event flooded with Y2K detailing. With free tooth gems and deliciously retro touches, the location transformed into a nostalgic time capsule. Stylish creatives from all over gathered together to commemorate Nike’s next ‘IT shoe’. We must admit – it’s very hard to deny the claim given its elevated aesthetic appeal.
The silhouette’s upper boasts a sleek palette of white, metallic silver and grey. Adorned with subtle black lining, the Swoosh and lacing system adopt grey hues that differentiate each dimension. A crisp white honeycomb mesh takes shape throughout the base, bringing that sporty 2000’s vibe that we all know and love. Ensuring a vintage feel, the fresh upper contrasts a chunky yellowed midsole whilst the outsole hosts a flurry of black accents within the underfoot and heel.
