After months of anticipation, Nike Basketball has officially unveiled the GT Future. The newest entry in its high-performance Greater Than series. First seen during NBA All-Star Weekend and teased with rapper Wale fronting its rollout, the silhouette reappeared in Nike’s 20+ model SNKRS Showcase.
The Nike GT Future combines futuristic design with serious performance tech. A full-length Zoom Strobel, Cushlon 3.0 midsole, and forefoot Air Zoom unit work together to deliver responsive cushioning and explosive energy return. Meanwhile, the upper features an inner bootie with a padded heel lock system to keep players secure and supported.
The model is set to launch in three colourways. ‘Lightning’, ‘Metallic’, and ‘Fire’, which is likely to be the first to reach the public.
There’s no official release date just yet, but the Nike GT Future is expected to drop in time for the 2025 holiday season. The retail price is initially listed at £140, though this may rise slightly following Nike’s recent pricing updates.
