When the NIKE AIR MAX 96 II first dropped it had its work cut out to follow the legacy of the previous year’s Air Max 95. To be fair, any subsequent Air Max design would have struggled to compete with that one. Perhaps to help things along, 1996 saw two Air Max designs drop, the latter of which we’re showcasing here as part of The Drop Date’s exclusive shoot series. Designed by Sergio Lozano, there’s no denying it’s aged just like a fine wine, so grab your slice of history now before it disappears again for however long.
