The NEW BALANCE M1500BY & M1500CK finds one of the most-loved New Balance models making a flawless reappearance, in two classic colourways.
The 1500 was originally launched as a top tier running shoe, back in 1989. Designed by the legendary Steven Smith, the 1500 is one design that has stood the test of time, becoming one of the most recognisable New Balance shoes. Made in the Flimby factory in England’s Lake District, the premium nubuck construction features leather detailing throughout. The durable and tactile mesh looks as good as ever, with the trademark ENCAP midsole underneath. These two archival colourways are as iconic as the design itself, with the black/grey/yellow scheme of the M1500BY being a particular favourite of many.
The New Balance Gallery crew worked with the New Balance team – Mark Godfrey, the much-missed Chris Hodgson, Tom Henshaw and all at Flimby – to ensure that this retro looked as close to the original shoe as possible.
