New Balance is continuing its impressive run of innovation-meets-nostalgia roll with the upcoming Abzorb 2000 ‘Rose Sugar’. A romantic, new take on early-2000s runners, reimagined through a thoroughly modern lens.
Following on the heels of last month’s Joe Freshgoods collaboration, this version leans into a softer palette, combining romantic tones with serious Abzorb technology. Let’s check all details…
The ‘Rose Sugar’ colourway offers an expressive and dreamy interpretation of the silhouette. The upper features a soft gradient, shifting from a rich pink near the sole to a creamy off-white across the midfoot. Wrapped in pale overlays with tech-inspired linework. On top are glossy plastics, rounded panel edges, and translucent touches lending the trainer a fluid, futuristic look.
Underfoot we see a full-length ABZORB midsole paired with SBS pods at the heel and forefoot, providing New Balance comfort and energy return. The segmented, sculpted sole features a visible Stability Web shank, adding structure and support without compromising on flexibility. A two-tone outsole in black and grey rounds off the look with a dose of contrast and everyday practicality.
Touches of metallic silver on the ‘N’ logo, tongue, and heel bring a sleek finish. While a rose gold shimmer on the midsole gives the pair a standout glow. Burgundy underlays and the techy mesh upper tie the whole palette together.
