If you’ve been following Fieg’s work over the years, you know the 992 isn’t a new playground for him. Back in 2020, he blessed us with multiple takes on the silhouette, including the winter-ready ‘Kithmas’ pack and the ever-classic ‘Steel Blue’ rendition – a nod to one of his all-time favorite New Balance colorways. Now, as teased in the latest Kith lookbook, a fresh 992 iteration is on the way, and this one’s drenched in a deep, luxurious blue.
Details on this upcoming release are still hush-hush, but the first images tell us everything we need to know. The build stays true to New Balance’s high standards, boasting that signature Made in USA craftsmanship with plush pig suede covering the upper. Kith branding subtly replaces the usual 992 insignia on the lateral heel, adding that exclusive touch. The laces incorporate reflective detailing for a little extra flair, while the midsole rocks a vintage-inspired finish, perfectly complementing the light gum outsole.
