First leaking earlier this summer, the Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 6 Low Golf Malachite is almost in reach! If you’re a golfer as well as a sneakerhead, this one’s for you. Originally collaborating with Air Jordan in 2021, Eastside Golf has hit the ground running with collaborative iterations such as the AJ1 High, AJ1 Low and AJ12 Retro Low. Dishing up an iteration inspired by a momentous moment in PGA history, this Air Jordan 6 arrives clean, vibrant and full of cultural significance.
These kicks tell the story of an event in 1961, when the PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) ended its segregative policy that excluded players of colour. To honour the pivotal moment, the Air Jordan 6 features affixed spikes along the tread that proudly express a green, white and black palette. The silhouette’s base takes a black nubuck stance, overlaid by off-white leather panelling.
Pops of green bring it back to the golf DNA of the collab, sitting within the lace pocket, speckled midsole, tread. Gold accents grace the lace toggles and embroidered heel branding, turning the majestic vibes up a notch. A bold depiction of the words “CHANGE” and “1961” are visible through a thick translucent tread, wrapping up this unique iteration.
