Afew x Ivan Beslic x adidas Superstar Wood Art – A First Look
The AFEW X IVAN BESLIC X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR WOOD ART is the highlight of an event that has been set-up to celebrate the iconic shoe.
AFEW have teamed up with ADIDAS to put on an event that celebrates the ADIDAS SUPERSTAR. To celebrate the occasion, they have teamed up with the German artist IVAN BESLIC, who is known for his colourful art which is created using only markers. The highlight of this collaboration however is the special SUPERSTAR, which sports a clean white leather upper, contrasted only by the tan leather on the underside of the tongue. What really stands out though is the shell toe that is made of real platane Wood. The branding is kept subtle, with the AFEW logo debossed on the tongue, SUPERSTAR on the lateral side and ADIDAS on the heel. Rounding things off are custom insoles, which feature artwork by IVAN BESLIC. This isn’t the first time an unusual choice of material has been used for the iconic shell toe, but the wood combined with the premium calfskin leather looks to work perfectly and makes these that little bit extra special.
There’s no word yet of whether the AFEW X IVAN BESLIC X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR WOOD ART will actually see a release, but make sure to keep checking back with us for updates.
