adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams Supershell Artwork Collection – Release Info
The ADIDAS ORIGINALS X PHARRELL WILLIAMS SUPERSHELL ARTWORK COLLECTION sees a series of artists apply their individual styles to the shell toe of the iconic SUPERSTAR.
The collection utilises artwork by NYC contemporary artist Todd James, American photographer-director Cass Bird, British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid and contemporary Japanese artist Mr, as well as six colourways by PHARRELL himself. To allow the artwork to really pop, each of the uppers is finished in a choice of monotone white or black, sat on top of a matching sole unit, with gold yellow branding on the tongue. The designs on the shell toes includes a wide range of designs, including, but not limited to: monotone 3D designs, black and white photography and bold and colourful graphics. The six designs by PHARRELL all sport cartoon floral designs in a mix of colours, alongside the signature two stripe logo. PHARRELL was brought on board to push boundaries and create something colourful and unusual – and this collection definitely ticks those boxes!
