Here is what you need to know…

A Closer Look at the adidas Home Kits for the FIFA World Cup 2026™…

Each jersey can be described as a fusion of heritage and great design! We see national flags, well-known landscapes, and rich footballing histories all melded into contemporary form. In total, 22 nations get an adidas jersey: Algeria, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, and Wales.

The jerseys are representative of a liberated style of play and fresh perspectives on the game, aiming to bridge the gap between every generation of fan ahead of the biggest World Cup tournament ever.

Let’s dive into one of the big hitters. Or is it even possible to make a choice here? The Germany national football team, historically the one with the closest connection to adidas, since Adolf Dassler, the founder of adidas, was their kit manager and outfitter at the Wunder von Bern in 1954, when they lifted their first World Cup.

The new German home kit rocks a classic white base but layers in a bold diamond and chevron motif in black, red, and gold, nodding to Germany’s iconic tournament strips from 2014 and 1990.

Argentina’s sky‑blue and white stripes now fade across three shades in homage to their World Cup winners of ’78, ’86, and ’22. Meanwhile, Mexico’s new shirt roars with modern energy, stamped with “SOMOS MÉXICO” under the collar as a rallying cry for faithful fans everywhere.

For the Spain national football team: a red base, sleek yellow pinstripes, and an elegance that screams “less is more”, while still packing in cultural identity. Tradition meets innovation in the Italy home jersey, inspired by the rich heritage of Italian football, the shirt celebrates the essence of the FIGC (the Italian Football Federation).

Tech & design details

Performance hasn’t been forgotten in the excitement either: the collection features body‑mapped, 3D‑engineered mechanical‑stretch fabrics with adidas’ CLIMACOOL+ technology, mesh ventilation zones, and new lenticular heat‑applied logos that shift with movement. Innovative tech to keep players (and fans or course) comfortable no matter the heat or pressure.

So, whether you’re a fan in the stands or a player on the pitch, the kit is built to perform and look good doing it. It’s about more than a shirt. It’s identity, nostalgia, and style all in one.

The World Cup will take place in Mexico, Canada, and the USA in June/July 2026. Make sure to get your kit via adidas by using the button below.
