Action Bronson Unveils the New Balance 992 ‘Digitalis Purpurea’
In recent times, few collaborations have delivered as consistently impressive releases as the ongoing partnership between New Balance and Action Bronson. Since its inception in 2023, the collaboration has produced several standout models, including the New Balance 990v6 ‘Baklava’ and the 990v6 ‘Ainôzama’, which dropped earlier this spring to widespread acclaim.
Now, the collaboration enters its next chapter with a sneaker that has already caught the attention of fans, and on Bronson’s own feet.
New Balance 992
Earlier this year, Bronson teased another New Balance 992 colourway, predominantly in earthy brown tones. It was later revealed that this release, dubbed ‘Tiger Eye’, would have a vibrant counterpart: the striking ‘Digitalis Purpurea’.
The ‘Digitalis Purpurea’ is a vivid pink 992 that first appeared on Bronson’s feet during the premiere of his film Caught Stealing in New York City. The sneaker features a beige mesh upper reinforced with pink suede overlays that extend across the silhouette, creating a bold, layered look. Dark green accents on the heel provide a dramatic contrast to the bright pink, giving the sneaker a unique, eye-catching finish.
Details continue the theme of Bronson’s personal branding. The heel proudly displays the Baklava logo, a nod to his own label, while the tongue features the classic New Balance Made in USA tag. The mid-panel is adorned with the iconic italicised ‘N’, completing the signature 992 aesthetic.
Shortly after the film premiere, photos of the sneaker began circulating online. Bronson shared the first official images on his Instagram with the teasing caption “coming up next,” leaving fans eager for the official release.

As of now, New Balance has not announced an official release date for the Action Bronson x New Balance 992 ‘Digitalis Purpurea’.
