Deft design and future footwear: the 18MONTROSE X ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD TAKEOVER
The 18MONTROSE X ADIDAS ORIGINALS NMD TAKEOVER EVENT unveiled the highly-anticipated footwear range at the premium retailer’s new London flagship store.
Continuing in the same slick vein as the 18montrose Glasgow and Nottingham locations, the impressive new space takes pride of place at the new King’s Cross redevelopment. With its expansive monochrome interior, subtle lighting, poured concrete floors and huge banks of screens, the new store coverts easily between retail space and display showcase and was the perfect stage to launch the latest adidas Originals NMD collection.
The new NMD_CS2 PRIMEKNIT, NMD_R2 and NMD_R2 PRIMEKNIT were all on view alongside other coveted new models and – to put these new releases in their 3-Stripes context – a selection of worn vintage treats for the connoisseurs. The sleek store design and future footwear were complemented by a soundtrack courtesy of Benji B, while guests created their own imagery of the event via a mini photography studio complete with polaroid cameras, backdrops and analogue filters which were then broadcast on the array of screens above.
