The STONE ISLAND AW17 COLOUR CORROSION KNITWEAR is yet another gem from the Italian garment maestros.
Following on from last season’s experiments in hand corrosion, the new drop sees a chunky wool knit undergoing the innovative dyeing treatment. Corrosive paste is applied by hand to each garment, removing the surface colour of the fabric in exposed areas while leaving the original dye in the gaps between the ribbing and cable knit. The resulting frosted effect highlights the three-dimensional construction of the jumper while giving it a worn-in, industrial look that even extends to the famous Stone Island compass patch on the left arm.
