Amsterdam-based retailer Maha Amsterdam is stepping into new territory this summer with its first-ever collaboration with Nike. For this debut partnership, the Dutch boutique is diving deep into the Swoosh archives, reviving an oft-forgotten yet iconic silhouette: the Nike Total 90 Shox Magia.
This hybrid model, which merges elements from Nike’s celebrated Total 90 football range with its distinctive Shox cushioning system, originally launched in 2003. Over two decades later, it’s back — and it’s bolder than ever.

Following previous successful collaborations with adidas, Maha Amsterdam has now shifted its creative focus to Nike, bringing fresh energy to a nostalgic silhouette. The result? A sleek, futuristic reimagining of a cult-classic.
The Maha x Nike Total 90 Shox Magia arrives in two striking colourways: Metallic Silver and Metallic Black. Both feature glossy, quilted leather uppers, which create a textured, layered appearance that plays with light and movement. The colourways are accentuated with metallic details on the outsole, giving the silhouette a high-tech, space-age aesthetic.
The tongue proudly showcases the Maha Amsterdam logo, embossed onto a metallic plaque — a subtle nod to the store’s minimal but premium design ethos. Meanwhile, Nike branding appears in the form of a bold Swoosh along the lateral side, accompanied by a smaller mini Swoosh on the heel. For added comfort and breathability, the midfoot incorporates mesh panels, balancing the shoe’s high-shine leather with practical performance elements.
Perhaps the standout detail is the Shox cushioning system, rendered here with a holographic, galaxy-inspired finish — an eye-catching twist on a technology that once dominated early 2000s sneaker culture.
The combination of archival football aesthetics and futuristic detailing makes this one of the most daring reinterpretations of a retro Nike model in recent memory.
