After his devastating Achilles injury last season, Damian Lillard is entering a new chapter in his career. One that’s not slowing down. Now, he’s officially joined the exclusive ranks of adidas athletes with ten signature sneakers to his name.
With official images of several colourways now emerging, adidas has unveiled the Dame X.
The range includes five adidas Dame X colourways. Four for adults and one exclusive for GS sizing. A vibrant multi-colour pair dubbed ‘Dame’s Light’, is what takes center stage. Featuring a green base with orange and blue strikes. Next is the ‘Brookfield’, an all black pair named after Lillard’s hometown in Oakland, CA. Then comes a ‘Dolla Red’ black/red version, inspired by his rap alter ego. A white/black/green pair ‘Zero Metallic’ rounds out the adult lineup, while the GS-exclusive steps out in black/teal/grey.
In terms of performance, the Dame X features a Lightstrike midsole, stretch-woven upper and a generative rubber outsole to deliver solid grip on court.
To launch the model, adidas brought in WNBA stars Sophie Cunningham and Chelsea Gray to front the campaign. Bringing Lillard’s words to life: “It’s built for the next generation who are chasing their dreams with that same hunger.”
The adidas Dame X drops on July 3, 2025, via adidas. Priced as the most affordable adidas Basketball signature model to date, it will retail at £80 for adults and £60 for GS sizes. All colourways will be available in both size ranges, aside from the black/teal/grey pair, which remains a GS-exclusive.
Be sure to keep an eye on the Drop Date release calendar for more updates and releases.
