Dr. Martens is back at it- flipping heritage footwear with a rebellious twist – this time, with Palace. This latest collab reimagines DM’s iconic 1461 shoe in three bold styles: smooth black, rich cherry red, and a punchy woodland camo.
The silhouette stays true to its roots with Vintage Smooth leather, rugged BEN lug soles, and that signature yellow welt stitch. But for the first time ever, the heel loop ditches ‘AirWair’ and proudly reps ‘Palace’ instead.
Each pair comes with a nostalgic nod to late ’80s street style: a custom Palace bottle cap lace charm riffing on the trend of attaching Grolsch swing-tops to Docs- a quirky move sparked by Bros frontman Matt Goss (yes, the guy behind When Will I Be Famous?).
To mark the drop, Palace and Docs are releasing a short film all about the art of waiting. It stars punk legend John Cooper Clarke, Palace riders Charlie Birch and Lucien Clarke, Japanese model and actor Serena Motola, and a scene-stealing dog.
The Palace x Dr. Martens collection hits palaceskateboards.com and Palace stores on 11 April 2025, with a wider release via drmartens.com on the 12th of April. For now, keep an eye on the Drop Date release calendar for updates.
The collection drops on 11th April 2025 at palaceskateboards.com and in Palace retail stores. It will be available on 12th April 2025 at drmartens.com.
This collaboration reworks the classic 1461 shoe in three standout styles: black, cherry red, and woodland camo — made with Vintage Smooth leather and a chunky BEN outsole. It features custom Palace bottle cap lace charms, a co-branded heel loop, and signature yellow stitching.
