Top Drops of 2023 | Stone Island 991v2

Stone Island and New Balance initially collaborated in 2013, making 2023 their 10th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, they introduced a new model: the 991v2! Drawing inspiration from industrial surroundings like train platforms, pubs, and terraces, the sneaker features a mesh upper inspired by welded metal.

The color scheme of the sneaker blends olive green, gray and black, capturing the essence of industrial aesthetics. Reflective accents are strategically incorporated into the design, reinforcing the theme of industrial spaces.

Close Second | New Balance 990v6 MiUSA Action Bronson Lapis Lazuli

Securing the second sport, the New Balance 990v6 MiUSA Action Bronson Lapis Lazuli represents a collaborative effort between New Balance and rapper Action Bronson. The craftsmanship of this trainer is particularly commendable.

Utilizing suede from the toe box to the heel enhances protection and durability in areas that see the most wear and tear. Mesh dominates a significant portion of the upper, promoting airflow and maintaining a cool, dry environment for the foot. Special Mention | JJJJound x New Balance UK 991 ‘Grey’

After previous successful releases, JJJJound returned in 2023 and collaborated for the first time with New Balance’s 991 MiUK silhouette. The sneaker made in the United Kingdom, features earthy tones, staying true to the Montreal Studio’s style promise of inspiring through minimalist design.

The minimalist upper is characterized by grey and suede leather on a grey mesh base. The ‘N’ logo on the midsection is black, complementing the inner lining and branded heel element featuring the text ‘JJJJound’. Reflective details on the tongue and heel tab add diversity to the material mix and form the foundation of the tongue label, referencing the 991 design.
