The HUMMEL HIVE SUPER TRIMM BLACK returns this month, bringing the ’80s sport-inspired model out of the archive…
Similar to the Super Trimm OG released back in May, Hummel’s latest addition was first introduced in the early ‘80s in response to the former German Sports Federation’s initiative to get the country into sport and outdoor activities. Led by the cartoon character Trimmy (Trimm Dich), the campaign was briefed out to all major sportswear companies in Germany at the time, and Hummel responded to the brief with the introduction of the aptly named Super Trimm.
Designed with the athlete in mind, the simplistic archive model is constructed from a black nubuck upper with additional slick white detail and script, sat atop an injected polyurethane sole for additional comfort. A timeless design, it concentrates on understated colour schemes synonymous with the ‘80s, with Hummel’s original chevron detailing included in white.
