The classic sports-inspired ADIDAS ORIGINALS CAMPUS silhouette returns as part of the brand’s “No Time To Think” campaign for SS17.

Looking back over their shoulder in an extremely stacked archive of classic models, adidas Originals revives one of its most raw and authentic footwear icons, the Campus. Initially introduced for wear on basketball courts in the ‘80s, the laidback suede silhouette debuted in a bold palette of burgundy and green, which has since become a favourite in youth culture and contemporary streetwear.

Set to make a return this summer, the Campus is on a mission to be your seasonal footwear choice. Fuelled by a fun-loving campaign titled “No Time to Think”, the concept was inspired by the heady downtown scene of early ‘90s New York. An exciting and forward thinking time that was defined by intuition and personal exploration, the era spawned a solid set of creative trailblazers who set a future pace in motion across fashion, music, and art. Fast forward three decades, adidas now introduce a new creative set for the current campaign, including fashion conscious skateboarders Blondey McCoy and Na-Kel Smith, alongside Tavia Bonetti and Tiffany Lighty. Captured in their natural habitat by downtown photographer Kenneth Capello, the quartet embodies the fearless and evolving style of the Campus silhouette, whilst having a whole bunch of fun as they go.

Re-imagined with a new relevancy, the updated Campus classic trefoil logo returns in several colourways later this month, including tan, navy, and bright blue – so be sure to pick yourself up at least one pair…
