Designer Tom Sachs is back at Nike, marking his return with the NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0. The third in the series, which began in 2012, has become a highly sought-after collector’s item, now reselling for tens of thousands of euros.
The collaboration was paused in 2023 following reports about Sachs’ treatment of employees. After a year-long break, Nike decided to resume the partnership, leading to the rollout of the updated Mars Yard 3.0.
Staying true to the original’s off-white upper, brown overlays, and red accents, the 3.0 introduces new features: a black TPU toe cap, screen-printed Swooshes, and subtle ‘Sail’ accents on the heel and outsole. The front pull tab now doubles as a lace loop, and the eyestay has been redesigned in two sections.
Performance improvements include a React foam sole with a carbon fibre plate, oversized eyelets, ribbed polyester laces, a breathable mesh upper, and a functional nylon heel loop.
The Tom Sachs x NikeCraft Mars Yard 3.0 drops on 19 September 2025 at select retailers. Check the Drop Date’s release calendar for updates.
The retail price of the Nike Mars Yard 3.0 will be around £300. Check the Drop Date’s release calendar for release details.
