Following a successful roll-out back in October of last year, the Swoosh unveils their second SNKRS Showcase for June 2024, revealing the next batch of hot upcoming releases. Entailing everything from revived classics to new arrivals, this offering is nothing short of sneaker magic, spanning across four distinct categories. Initially debuting via livestream at none other than Paris Fashion Week, fear not, as you can find a recap of the presentation listed below. Enjoy, and prepare your bank accounts for what’s about to be another season of sheer sneaker gems!
Kicking off with the Look of Field Collection (pardon the pun), Nike are selecting two pitch-ready models for a lifestyle refashioning. Emerging from the 2004 archive, the Total 90 III dons three eye-catching colourways, brought to life via patent leather textile that seamlessly encapsulates the light for a metallic persona. Landing alongside these bangers is another nostalgic treat, in the form of the Nike Gato. Landing over a decade ago in 2010, the Gato returns donning a supple suede textile finish, ideal for casual styling.
As we move on to the next category, we must warn you. This serving of kicks is everything it claims to be – and more. Yep, the Icons Collection boasts an immaculate selection of classic models, as well as progressive all-new creations, tailored for the contemporary climate. Starting with a trail-coded banger, the ACG Goadome emerges from the archives with a new blacked-out swing in its step, as well as a water-resistance remodel. Next up – the Air Rift returns in a handful of differing unique colourways. From immaculately sleek leather black and red offerings, to earthy suede neutral, there’s something for everyone.
Looking forward to the Air Footscape Woven, we see the silhouette taking a trip back in time to its OG form, flaunting its original ‘Rainbow’ colourway in all its glory. Meanwhile, the Dunk Low is upholding the Icons title by paying a visual tribute to Berlin, nodding to the city’s culture whilst honouring its series of global locations. Last, but certainly not least, the Air Force 1 Low concludes the collection in a ‘Paris’ and ‘Vanta Black’ offering, both repping dark personas that are due to bang this AW25.
Next, it’s all about the Cult Classics. This one’s for the old-school sneaker connoisseurs. Making a prestigious return from its 2012 Nike All-Star Weekend debut, the Air Foamposite One is back – repping its iconic OG ‘Galaxy’ colourway. Not only do these creps execute a stunning upper graphic, but even arrive equipped with a glow-in-the-dark outer. If that’s not out of this world, we don’t know what is. Additionally, the Air Zoom Spiridon endures a revival like no other, showcasing a replica of its original 1997 form, whilst the Air Flightposite ‘Metallic Gold’ finally receives a highly anticipated re-up. A big, BIG W if we do say so ourselves!
Lastly, paying homage to the 2005 ‘Escape’ Pack, the Air Force 1 Low flaunts a textural construction, utilising suede and leather for a smart delivery. We told you this one was for OG’s!
Saving the best till last, it’s the Maxxed Out Collection. Four words. Pure Air Max magic. Bringing us a flurry of favourites as well as exciting innovations, Nike really haven’t held back this SNKRS Showcase. Straight off the bat, three GORE-TEX-ified Air Max Sunder enter the scene, emphasising the element of practicality with a slip-on wear for on-the-go ventures. On the other end of the spectrum, we have a true spector that takes the term luxury footwear to new heights. Coming into fruition in two Swarovski-encrusted Air Max Plus of ‘Sunset’ and ‘Moonlight’ palettes, these kicks are for the only the bougjie-est of Swoosh lovers. Arriving in exclusive packing and a microfiber dust bag to match the premium steez, we’re very excited to see these bangers in action.
Moving on to a never-before-seen entry, Nike are introducing the Air Waffle Racer. Seamlessly blending elements from the Waffle Racer and Air Max Plus, this hybrid iteration dons two bright colour schemes of ‘Green’ and ‘Purple’. Concluding the SNKRS Showcase this June is two new colourways of the Air Max TL 2.5, bringing all of that 2006 goodness into 2024.
