To the average joe, it would seem that this pair of playful kicks are on the more creative side of adidas’ usual endeavours. The silhouette pays homage to the viral meme whereby the character is blankly backing into a hedge, after being declined an invitation to hang out by Ned Flanders (his neighbour). Regardless of whether you rate the cartoon series or not, I think we’ve all related at some point or another in our lives.
