The latest Nike Pegasus Premium release is turning heads — and not just because of its clean design. The model is set to launch in a brand-new ‘Platinum Tint’ colourway on 3 July 2025, and features a striking design cue that sneaker fans will instantly recognise: the reversed Swoosh.
Let’s get one thing clear right away — this is not a Travis Scott collaboration. But with that signature flipped Swoosh on the lateral side, it’s hard not to think of La Flame’s iconic Nike releases. Nike clearly knows what they’re doing here, subtly referencing a trend that has helped redefine sneaker aesthetics in recent years.
The Pegasus Premium, one of Nike’s most recent innovations in performance footwear, was originally crafted as a high-tech running shoe. But as we’ve seen with many Nike performance silhouettes, it didn’t take long for it to cross over into streetwear. The sleek lines, sculpted midsole, and modern upper have earned the silhouette plenty of fans beyond the running community.
After multiple colourways dropped throughout the year, most of which sold out within hours, the upcoming ‘Platinum Tint’ edition brings something a little different to the table. The palette is minimal and clean, leaning into neutral tones that give the sneaker a versatile and refined look. Subtle detailing, including a ‘Run’ logo on the upper, nods to its athletic DNA without being overbearing.
The reversed Swoosh is undoubtedly the standout design element. It was first popularised on lifestyle releases such as the Air Jordan 1 Travis Scott and has since popped up occasionally across Nike’s catalogue, most recently on the Vomero 18.
On the Pegasus Premium, the flipped Swoosh gives the sneaker a modern twist. Interestingly, the insole Swoosh keeps its traditional orientation, offering a quiet contrast to the eye-catching exterior.
The Nike Pegasus Premium ‘Platinum Tint’ drops on 3 July 2025 via Nike.com and selected retailers across Europe. Given the popularity of previous releases, this one’s likely to go fast.
