Joining forces to deliver a sneaker that blends 2000s flair with a contemporary steez, we present the PUMA x Footpatrol Velophasis.
What happens when you take a hot-off-the-press model, and give it a retro reimagining? An ice-cold collaborative sneaker with an innovatively futuristic aesthetic. Soho-based sneaker store Footpatrol and footwear giant PUMA are delivering a slice of the future, using the PUMA Velophasis as its muse. Design elements nod to the golden age of y2k, injecting distinctive hits of nostalgia that noughties sneaker enthusiasts will clock instantly. Even Skepta approves, with the shoe making an appearance during his MAINS London Fashion Week show back in January. Let’s take a closer look at the details…
When it comes to 00s vibes, there’s no better silhouette to adopt than a classic runner. Working atop a breathable white mesh base, the palette expresses a plethora of stealthy metallic hues across the upper. Hits of squishy blue branding and translucent elements transporting us allllll the way back to days of velour tracksuits and trucker hats. If the persona of this collaborative Velophasis didn’t quite scream y2k loud enough for you, just take a look at the campaign visuals. It’s safe to say that the attention to detail is next level, paying homage to the console game demo discs that you’d expect to see in a gaming print magazine.
PUMA x Footpatrol Velophasis will launch on SATURDAY 2ND DECEMBER ‘23, exclusively in-store & online at FOOTPATROL. SHOP NOW via the banner below…
