The Converse Weapon Returns from the ’80s Archives

The Converse Weapon is back, and with the courts already conquered, the silhouette is undergoing a lifestyle transition. 

As we all know, reviving shoes from the ‘80s to ‘2000s is nothing new in the sneaker scene, with many brands utilising their own heritage to create something that’s relevant in a contemporary climate. Continuing this tried and tested formula of revivals, next up is the Converse Weapon, a basketball silhouette taken from the ‘80s archives. 

Holding a lot of weight within the basketball world at the time, the Weapon saw co-signs from many NBA greats, who proudly repped the shoe on the courts. During this period, the silhouette adopted the title of Converse’s most advanced model, equipped with an entirely leather upper and padded heel. Now, the Converse Weapon is being brought up to speed with a street edge, currently highlighted across four neutral colourways that make for seamless everyday styling.

Bringing back all of those ‘80s vibes that we know and love, the Converse Weapon High boasts a hightop structure that pays homage to its basketball roots. Showcasing two opposing palettes of light and dark, Vintage White opts for a durable leather base, flaunting adorning Ash Stone hits. Its counterpart dons a blacked-out upper, complimenting the Natural Ivory accents within various design elements including the iconic A Star Chevron and midsole. Crafted with a traction rubber outer for unparalleled grip on the go, these kicks are sure to hold you down.

‘Vintage Ash’ (A07239C) & ‘Vintage Cargo’ (A07240C)

Moving on to the Low silhouette, both colourways maintain the same steez, but in a far sleeker form! Maintaining a clean white base as a common theme across both iterations, touches of Black and Vintage Cargo flood the model’s construction for a less-is-more essence. As well as looking great, the model arrives with CX foam cushioning for comfort you can rely on when going foot first into Summer ventures.
