Fittingly named ‘Song for the Mute x adidas 005,’ the latest collection is a tribute to nature in both design and material choice. Leading the lineup is a reimagined take on the Adistar cushion, featuring an upper crafted from sheer open mesh, complemented by pony hair and suede overlays.
The iconic Three Stripes get a fresh update with brushed suede on the inner side and a sleek satin finish on the outer. Completing the look, the outsole boasts a distressed effect that mirrors the textured upper. This sneaker will be available in three earthy tones: ‘Brown’, ‘Green’, and ‘Black’.
The second sneaker in the collection sees the duo rework the iconic Superstar 82 with a nature-inspired aesthetic. Featuring a rich-blend of materials, this iteration showcases vegetable-tanned suede, full-grain leather, and tonal hides for a luxurious textile feel.
This silhouette will be available in three colorways: ‘Black’, ‘White’, and ‘Olive.’ Both sneakers from the collection are set to launch on March 13, 2025, via Song for the Mute and adidas’ websites, priced at $160 and $140.
