Nike aren’t wasting any time in getting the Mac Attack back out there, giving us a tease of their latest collaborative endeavour – the Social Status Nike Mac Attack.
If we’re talking about hype, the return of the Nike Mac Attack has conjured a significantly large leverage. Perhaps due to endorsement from global star Travis Scott, or maybe the fact that Nike brought OG tennis legend John McEnroe in for a close-up. Either way, it’s looking like Nike aren’t planning on slowing down on the Mac Attack model anytime soon, with a Social Status collab already underway just over a month after its debut. Nevertheless, we’re definitely not complaining, as these versatile kicks are turning up the heat.
Totalling up to three colourways so far, the Social Status Nike Mac Attack sports a generally off-white palette, with splashes of contrasting colours across the Swoosh, heel and rubber outsole. You can unlock innovative and authentic charm via tear away layering within the Swoosh and heel elements, adding your own spin to the kicks. Whether you fancy letting these segments gradually diminish with wear, or want to get creative, the choice is yours to make. And the outcome? Pretty sick, if we do say so ourselves. You can anticipate green hues to transition to a vibrant orange, navy to baby blue and white revealing black.
Even Nike’s classic retro branding isn’t safe from the tear-away facade, fading to expose Social Status’ triangular logo.

And Social Status x Nike aren’t stopping there when it comes to colourways. An additional fourth colourway titled ‘Iron Ore’ is due to hit the market this summer, sporting dusty pink and metallic silver accents that co-ordinate with branding on the tongue. These complimentary hues are supported by a ‘Summit-white’ base, featuring a subtle grey base that decorates the rubber outsole. As per the other colourways, these kicks arrive alongside a secondary pair of laces and collaborative packaging.
Similarly to the 2023 Nike Mac Attack, there is no official release date for the Social Status Nike Mac Attack just yet. Make sure you stay locked on our socials @thedropdate for updates as and when we have them.
