The upcoming SAUCONY ORIGINALS FW17 drop revives two ‘80s models from the brand’s rich archive of iconic running silhouettes…
Following on from their double-headed drop of the Jazz O Vintage and DXN 83 back in July, Saucony Originals work wonders on the heritage-packed styles once more, with a range of fall-ready colour palettes set to drop next week in both men and women’s sizes.
Celebrating the brand’s rich athletic history, Saucony’s classic early ‘80s running-inspired silhouette, the Dixon Trainer, lands in dusty navy, vivid red, or bright blue – with each shoe flaunting silver accenting across the medial and lateral branding hit. Designed by noted Boston podiatrist Dr Frank Santopietro in 1981, the comfort-inducing Jazz O Vintage goes fully seasonal with its palette, offering the mesh and weathered suede runner up in dark forest green, vintage navy and yellow, burnt red, and a basic all-over black edition. The women’s run then levels up with brushed aqua and faded green options across the DXN, as well as zingy green, orangey- red, and deep Baltic blue spins on the Jazz O.
Check out the Saucony Originals FW17 range in these shots by The Rig Out, which captures the shoes in some of London’s most iconic locations, including the new King’s Cross redevelopment and London’s Brutalist Brunswick Centre.
