The REEBOK INSTA PUMP FURY ROAD ‘WHAT THE CAMO’ sees the brand get in the popular but divisive ‘What The’ colourway game.
For the uninitiated, the ‘What The’ colourways take a number of the model’s previous colourways and design details and mix them all together to create a kind of Frankenshoe patchwork edition. This works well with some models but less successfully with others but, whatever the outcome, they’re usually highly covetable. This is the first we’ve written about from Reebok, so how well has the brand executed this motif? Let’s take a closer look…
This Reebok Instapump Fury Road ‘What The Camo’ employs a bunch of different camouflage graphics, ranging from from desert to woodland, cotton candy blue to a fire red, as well as a spot of duck camo on the leather heel tab. Creating an additional mix-and-match contrast effect, the silhouette’s midsole is split between a stark white and black, with a black outsole completing the look. The Fury Road shoe first debuted 1994, introducing its distinctive chunky midsole, and internal Pump bladder, which gave it a robust look. This bold silhouette is the ideal canvas for such an interesting clash of coloured camo patterns.
