The PUMA X ALIFE SS16 APPAREL COLLECTION is inspired by football and the mark the sport left on the city in the ’70s.
Utilising the New York based brand’s love of sportswear, this first collection takes its inspiration from football apparel. The entire range features both the No.1 PUMA Archive logo and the ALIFE 158 print, which is a player’s number that is a nod to their shop at 158 Rivington Street. The first of two stand out pieces is the Nylon Wind Jacket, which has been adapted from the PUMA archive for a more comfortable and streetwear-ready fit. The other is the ALIFE football shirt tee, which is inspired by the Football Poloshirt and with its double knit, wicking-finish and dry cell technology it sports an automatic sportswear feel. Alongside these pieces is a selection of tees, sweats, shorts and hoodies, all of which you can check out in the images below. Within this lookbook we also get a first look at Trinomic silhouettes including the R698 and Blaze Of Glory, as well as the classic Suede and sliders, all of which match the apparel’s colour palette to create a complete package. We should get a closer look at these soon! The partnership between the two brands is clearly demonstrated through this collection, with the coming together of one brand’s strong New York heritage and the other’s passion for creating streetwear with a sports twist.
The PUMA X ALIFE SS16 APPAREL COLLECTION is scheduled for release on SATURDAY 13 FEBRUARY. Make sure to keep checking back with us for updates over the coming days.
