The NIKELAB VAPORMAX TRIPLE BLACK sets the precedent of Air Max’s future on its 30th-anniversary celebrations.
A testament to three decades of Tinker Hatfield’s game changing Air Max designs, the Nike Air VaporMax is marketing as the “rebirth of Air,” pulling together countless years of research and footwear engineering, whilst paving the way for more to come.
The VaporMax goes back to basics, taking on board a strictly TPU sole which removes the need for additional glue and rubber components. Paired up with Flyknit uppers, the result is one of the lightest Air Max models ever, opening the door to a new era in cutting edge Air construction.
We’ve already seen the stripped back Nike VaporMax in a platinum and university red colourway but now NikeLab adds a block colour edge with the Triple Black edition. Featuring a visible air-packed outsole cushioning unit in jet black, it shares the same colour palette as the eagerly awaited Comme des Garcons slip-on, with an Anthracite dusted Flyknit upper and reflective 3M Swoosh to finish.
Set for release on Air Max Day alongside its Pure Platinum and University Red/Wolf Grey counterparts, there’s no better way to celebrate 30 years of a footwear icon than grabbing a pair of these cloud-light innovators.
The NIKELAB VAPORMAX TRIPLE BLACK is due for release on Air Max Day, which takes place SUNDAY 26 MARCH. Until then, shop the current Air Max collection at NIKE by clicking the banner below.
