The Nike x Slam Jam Air Force 1 Low Makes Itself Known
The NIKE X SLAM JAM AIR FORCE 1 LOW ushers in the latest footwear collab from Slam Jam and it’s a keeper! Somewhat seasoned in the game, Slam Jam know how and when to provide when it comes to their footwear partnerships. Here they get their hands on a bonafide Swoosh classic – the Air Force 1 – which is currently celebrating 40 years in the game. Inspired by Slam Jam founder Luca Benini’s early trips to New York City from Milan in the early ’80s and the two cities shared energies, their takes on the iconic model from the same era stays true to its roots with a selection of white-on-white and black-on-black leather colourways, broken only by a subtle mesh window behind the outstretched side Swooshes. The toebox perforations are skillfully arranged into Slam Jam’s logo with further branding details on the tongue tab and sockliners. Doubled-up eyelets and laces add a little extra spice, making this drop a January must-have.
