The NIKE SB DUNK LOW ‘GRATEFUL DEAD BEARS’ utilises the legendary rock band’s bear identity for style inspiration in these lurid and eye-catching editions of the recently-revived SB Dunk Low.
Inspired by a series of bear characters who appear on the back cover of the Grateful Dead’s 1973 album ‘History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear’s Choice)’ marching in a circle, this shoe also evokes memories of the Three Bears Pack from 2006. The fuzzy uppers are paired up with suede overlays and oversized Swooshes with tattered, furry edging. But perhaps the most interesting design detail comes in the form of a stash pocket at the top of the tongue, last spotted on pro skater Chad Muska’s shoe with Circa. Expect them to drop in a selection of Opti Yellow, Green Spark and Bright Ceramic sometime this summer.
The orange colourway of the NIKE X GRATEFUL DEAD SB DUNK LOW is due to release exclusive at FTC, San Francisco on SATURDAY JULY followed by a general release of the yellow and green options on FRIDAY 24 JULY: follow the banner below for stockist information.
