Nike Project Amplify: Let’s Break the Innovative System Down in Simple Terms

Everybody is talking about it; Nike has done it again! The sneaker world is about to see some serious innovation from the Swoosh. Is it just sci-fi and Back to the Future all over again? No, it’s part running gear, part responsive tech, and both combined with everyday wearability. Today we want to break down the Swoosh’s latest innovation for you: Project Amplify.

A Closer Look at How Nike’s Project Amplify Actually Works…

As you can see in the image above, the Amplify system uses a small motor, a sort of belt, and a battery located at the ankle to make it work. In addition, the design fits into a regular running shoe and can be used with or without the motor. Not only is the basic idea isto help people walk or run more often, but also for longer, and make it more fun on a daily basis.

This innovative system uses technology to give runners and walkers a subtle mechanical boost. That is set to adjusts support in real time, supporting and amplifying natural leg and ankle movement.
