Get ready for the wave, as the NIKE AQUA SOCK 360 brings the ACG minimal slip-on back to life.
Designed by Geoff Hollister in the late ‘80s, the original Aqua Sock was about as simple as it gets – pairing a simple mesh slip-on upper with a rubber sole to offering a waterproof shoe that’d leave you looking like the coolest kid in the rock pool (because nobody can see your feet in a canoe, right?)
Ranking quite comfortably in the upper echelons of ACG silhouettes, the much-loved model was also given further life in the ‘90s with its Aqua Sock Too and Aqua Sock Classic counterparts. Now, a couple decades later, Nike are revisiting the quintessential model with a tech-splashed update: the Aqua Sock 360. Already getting a slow-drip release in Asia with the obsidian, blue, and slightly more intense “total crimson” colourways, the revisited icon pairs the Aqua Sock’s archetypal slip-on upper with a souped up sole unit split into three sections, with more defined grip, plus a Swoosh-branded heel counter to the back.
A minimal build, the Aqua Sock 360 has already made its way into some Japanese doors and is expected for a general release very soon, so whether you want to take these down onto the waterfront or hide them in a cupboard, the world will soon be your oyster.
The NIKE AQUA SOCK 360 is currently available at ATMOS and is expected to hit other retailers soon: keep checking back with us for the latest updates. In the meantime, you can shop the latest footwear at NIKE by clicking the banner below.
