Nike’s newest silhouette heads back to the ‘00s by making use of generation-defining technology, Nike Flywire, which made its debut in 2008 as a lightweight system of support inspired by suspension bridge cables. On the all-new Alphina 5000, the shoe’s Flywire infuse uppers feature a bold TPU Swoosh panel giving added dimension to the lateral side, along with a sculpted midsole. Paying homage to Bowerman Series of running shoes from the same decade, this one brings chunky athletic nostalgia in a playful finish.
