We thought we’d just about every variation of the VaporMax silhouette until Nike pulled this premium suede iteration out of the bag. Dropping after the Black Friday dust clears this Saturday, the forthcoming model ditches the usual performance-geared Flyknit construction for a soft perforated black suede finish, that further stakes the lightweight silhouettes ever-growing presence in the lifestyle arena. Nike let the model do most of the talking here by removing back the shoe’s trademark side Swoosh, with the scaled-back branded hits taking shape with a subtle debossed logo to the back heel. The fit is also tweaked with a more contoured tongue which features an embroidered Swoosh hit. The VaporMax’s instantly recognisable full-length midsole is retained in a black tint, rounding off a refined spin on what might be one of the most prolific new footwear additions of 2017.
