The NIKE AIR TRAINER 1 UTILITY 1 updates the late ‘80s model for the bright lights of 2022 with a tweaked design and two standout new colourways. Originally released in 1987, the Air Trainer 1 was adopted by several high profile tennis players, cementing its place in the sneaker hall of fame. It’s reworked with a ‘Utility’ aesthetic, consisting of heavyweight mesh and transparent ripstop effect panels. The usual velcro forefoot strap is replaced with a buckle with 3M reflective details completing the design. So far we’ve seen these Dark Smoke Grey and Light Smoke Grey colourways, but don’t be surprised if a couple more pop up in the next few weeks.
The NIKE AIR TRAINER 1 UTILITY 1 in Dark Smoke Grey are due to release on THURSDAY 17 MARCH with the other colourway set to follow: click the banner below to shop the latest from NIKE ahead of the drop.
