Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit – Release Info
The NIKE AIR PRESTO ULTRA FLYKNIT marks the return of instant happiness, with an update to the now iconic model.
Originally released in 2000, the AIR PRESTO became famous for its irreverent advertising, alpha sizing, ultimate comfort and ahead-of-its-time sock-like construction. In the decade and a half since, the shoe has transcended performance running to become a sport-style fixture. Now, 16 years after its introduction, NIKE is updating the icon with new materials and technology to create the AIR PRESTO ULTRA FLYKNIT.
The shoe’s signature adaptable upper becomes even more pronounced through the use of FLYKNIT, which delivers stretch in the collar, ventilation in the toe and tongue, and support in the heel and underneath the toecap.
NIKE are saying that another first for the PRESTO franchise, is the mid-cut collar of the AIR PRESTO ULTRA FLYKNIT, however we would say that the Presto Roam also featured a mid-cut silhouette, but either way it does lends the model a modern aesthetic. The TPU cage is reengineered to fit the FLYKNIT upper, while the ULTRA tooling, with rubber in high-contact wear areas, improves comfort and durability. We have a lot of love for the PRESTO, so it is good to see it receiving some love, and we can definitely get on board with this update.
The NIKE AIR PRESTO ULTRA FLYKNIT will be available early via the SNKRS app on Thursday 28 April, but for the Europeans amongst us, we will have to wait till THURSDAY 5 MAY. When the time comes it will be available via the banner below.
