Welcoming a new colourway to the third model of the innovative Futura series, the Nike Air Max 97 Futura Cream. Keeping in line with Nike Futura’s remit of reimagining Swoosh OG’s, this iteration of the Christian Tresser classic boasts a chunky new look that’s sure to elevate your ‘fit (both literally and figuratively).
Originally debuting in an appealing Olive palette, the Air Max 97 Futura is coming back for seconds. But this time, it’s an array of neutral ivory hues on the menu. Launched in 2018, the Futura series takes Nike classic’s and gives them a futuristic spin (not to be confused with the design studio Futura). Kicking off the collection with none other than the Air Max 90, the unique iteration went down so well that it’s since endured a flurry of new colourways. Then came the Air Max 270 Futura, and then the 97 Olive. The series has hit it off with new school sneaker enthusiasts and streetwear lovers alike, and we’re excited for what else is to come.
Identical to the Olive colourway in composition, this iteration blends nubuck leather and distressed suede for a texturally dynamic look. The main event of the sneaker is undoubtedly the bulky midsole underfoot, adorned with a rose-tinted Air Bubble Unit that brings a complimentary pop of colour. A cream fuzzy mudguard contrasts canvas elements within the tongue and heel, perfectly summarising this trailblazing remodel.
