The NIKE AIR MAX 97 BY YOU presents one of the most recognisable models in the Air Max series as a blank canvas, offering the opportunity to get creative with this icon of footwear history.
The original Nike Air Max 97 turned a few heads when it first dropped over two decades ago. Christian Tresser’s innovative design was long-thought to have been inspired by Japan’s high-speed Bullet trains, but the actual spark came from studying mountain bikes. Featuring contours and curves that give the shoe a true feeling of speed and momentum, the 97 is known for its silver iteration – but it’s the perfect shoe for the Nike By You platform.
All of the main sections can be customised to your tastes: you can dress the uppers, tint the air bubble and paint the midsole as you wish. For a final flourish, you can add a special personal touch by adding some text or a logo on the heel panel.
