The NIKE AIR JORDAN VII UNIVERSITY BLUE sees the famous silhouette turn back the hands of time and pay homage to the Jumpman’s alma mater.
First released in 1992, this streamlined model from the famed basketball line was worn by Michael Jordan as he steered his way toward a second consecutive NBA Championship win. Ready for a long awaited return, the latest addition to the Jordan 7 line pays homage to the legendary athlete’s alma mater – the University of North Carolina.
Previously unobtainable to the general public, a similar edition called the “Jordan 7 Pantone” was seen as part of a sample set shown at the 2010 World Basketball Festival. Seven years on, the Jumpman’s seventh signature shoe takes us back in time by closely mirroring the original early ‘90s uppers, decking the synthetic nubuck panels, neoprene tongue and laces out in the prestigious school’s trademark Carolina Blue shade, with Jordan branding taking shape in fresh white embroidery.
A desirable hue for the upcoming summer months, we expect this release to amass its status as a quintessential Jordan colourway overnight.
The NIKE AIR JORDAN VII UNIVERSITY BLUE is due to release on SATURDAY 29 APRIL. Until then, shop the latest footwear at NIKE by following the banner below.
