new balance x grenson collaboration 1

The NEW BALANCE X GRENSON COLLABORATION sees the classic NB576 sport a traditional dress shoe inspired aesthetic.

GRENSON is a UK based company that have been producing high quality smart shoes since 1866 and as part of their 150th anniversary they are joining forces with NEW BALANCE to create a trainer. With two shoe-making companies involved things were done a little differently from the collaborations we are accustomed to. The Italian full grain calf-leather, supplied by GRENSON, was first cut at the NEW BALANCE factory in Flimby, the resulting patterns were then sent to GRENSON for punching, brogue detailing and polishing, and then returned to Flimby for construction. This result is a Made in UK 576, that sports a monotone Tan leather upper, with traditional brogue style details, taken from the Albert model, which is contrasted by a creamy-white leather lining. Down below is a midsole that ties in nicely with the lining, whilst a gum outsole works perfectly with the Tan leather. The finishing touches include insoles that are constructed in a rich red leather, with gold-foil dual branding and an embossed tan leather tongue label. This is not the first time we have seen brogue style detailing applied to a NEW BALANCE model, but these have to be the classiest pair we have seen.

If you are looking for a pair of trainers that won’t get you turned away from those ‘classier’ clubs, then you will be happy to hear that the NEW BALANCE X GRENSON COLLABORATION is available now with GRENSON in their Bloomsbury & Soho Stores, and will drop again on 23 JAN 2016—release details can be found via the banner below.
