The New Balance x CDG Homme Plus 57/40 is a Lesson in Luxury
The NEW BALANCE X CDG HOMME PLUS 57/40 finds the much-respected Japanese label joining forces with New Balance for a very appealing take on the recently-launched 57/40 model.
A fresh silhouette that updates the timeless 574, the 57/40 modernised the classic shoe without losing those all-important heritage aspects. The pronounced midsole and colourful details on the launch editions of the 57/40 made it look particularly appealing, but the maestros at COMME des GARÇONS HOMME have shown that the design is every bit as effective when given a solid black treatment. The nylon ripstop uppers add some weatherproof styling to the top half of the shoe, with reflective layers and suede panels giving the design some extra depth. The white branding details add some contrast and visual disruption, resulting in a very smart take on one of the most interesting debuts we’ve seen recently.
