New Balance EPIC-TR Project – A First Look
The NEW BALANCE EPIC-TR PROJECT brings together four of Europe’s most respected retailers – Scotland’s HANON, Barcelona’s 24 KILATES, Stockholm’s SNEAKERSNSTUFF and Berlin’s FIRMAMENT – to work their magic on the new EPIC-TR.
Relaunched earlier this year as part of the Made In The UK Football Pack, the EPIC TR is a new premium cupsole trainer, which utilises the original upper design from the classic Epic football boot from the ’90s. For this special project, each partner created their colourways by drawing inspiration from their respective home cities: the results are excellent, with an interesting use of colours and materials across each of the four pairs. Alongside the four limited colorways, MUNDIAL Magazine has produced a special publication to be distributed with each pair sold. Exploring each store’s relationships with New Balance alongside the cultures and subcultures of Aberdeen, Barcelona, Stockholm and Berlin, the magazine holds true to the ideals of New Balance’s modern-yet-traditional footwear production. This is truly a fantastic project from some of the best people in the industry.
