New Balance have hit back with another of their (now customary) British-themed 576 triple packs and this time around they’re taking us hiking. The NEW BALANCE 576 THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE PACK pays tribute to the tradition of climbing the three highest mountains in each of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. Accordingly, the three makeups celebrate England’s Scafell Pike, Scotland’s Ben Nevis and Wales’ Snowdon with a variety of rugged materials and colourways that evoke images of classic outerwear.

NB are really flexing their conceptual muscle with these latest creations; some innovative colour blocking and the use of unusual materials go to show that they’ve truly followed through on the high-altitude concept. Thick, nappy suede and tough mesh cover the forefoot, while the collar and heel tab are made up of a waterproof rubber. They’ve also switched up the usual 576 midpanel branding, throwing a rugged, textured material onto the N instead of suede. Each shoe gets the peak after which it’s themed stitched into the custom tongue label and a compass icon on the insole to finish it up.

The NEW BALANCE 576 THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE PACK is available now with CROOKED TONGUES and can be found via the link-through below.
