Launched to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Tuan Lee’s Wave Rider series, this particular edition was designed with the neutral runner in mind, seeking both cushioning and responsive wear in tandem. The silhouette boasts wide-set mesh and retro styling, but it’s what lies beneath the surface that truly sets it apart. Embedded within the very DNA of this shoe is Mizuno’s thermoplastic ‘Parallel Wave Technology’ insert. You may recognize the name Tuan Lee from his work on the adventure-ready upper of the Wave Mujin TL. But the Wave Rider 10 has taken on a life of its own, earning a dedicated following thanks to its timeless design, futuristic technology, and wearable heritage. It’s no wonder this silhouette has become a staple in the seasonal wardrobe of many.
Now available in a trio of very wearable new colourways, the Wave Rider 10 Premium boasts new features such as a pull tab at both the tongue and heel. The shoe has made the jump from perforated suede to a more classically wearable mesh, draped in SS23’s cornerstone blocking. With dialled-down branding, a low-key Runbird can be found embedded within the sidewall of all three iterations.
