Little Simz Puts A Distorted Twist On the Vans Slip-On
The North London-born multi-hyphenate Little Simz launches her first collaborative sneaker offering – the Little Simz x Vans Slip-on.
From her incredible contribution to music to playing a lead role in acclaimed series Top Boy, Little Simz is a force to be reckoned with. Following the release of her album ‘NO THANK YOU’ (- not to mention an entire world tour), the rapper is now turning her sights to footwear. Featuring in Vans’ global campaign earlier this year, her first collaborative offering utilises the classic Slip-On silhouette, a fan-favourite, even for Simz herself. Delivering an urban-take on the OG via a distorted checkerboard persona, these kicks not only honour the artist, but champion her multifaceted talent in all of its glory.
A Closer Look at the Little Simz x Vans Slip-On…
Following the conventions of the beloved OG skate model, Simz’ customary take maintains a white sole and black lower lining. The upper is where things get fun… displaying a warped adaptation of the chequered patterning whilst subtly incorporating the artist’s own logo. Showcasing a plethora of dreamy hues within the design, it’s safe to say that everything Little Simz touches turns to gold.
